We envision an America in which all individuals understand, and work to end, racism in all its forms.
Libraries for Liberation distributes books that center the experiences of Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and raise awareness of systemic racism to neighborhoods across the United States. We purchase books from BIPOC-owned bookstores, and distribute them to Little Free Libraries through a network of volunteers. We hope the books that we distribute will facilitate community conversations that lead to connection, healing, and liberatory action.
Who are we?
We are a collection of artists, educators, and activists from across the United States. We are avid learners, readers, and adventurers who envision an end to white supremacy. Our community is growing, filled with friends, families, and individuals committed to transforming their communities wherever they might be.
